The Development (Fundraiser) Officer will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising initiatives to support the mission and strategic goals of EARJ. This role requires a strong communicator with experience in building relationships with donors, sponsors, alumni, and community partners. The coordinator will also work closely with the school leadership to implement effective development campaigns, foster a culture of giving, and increase community engagement.


Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive annual fundraising plan to meet the school’s financial and development goals.
  • Campaigns & Events: Organize and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives, such as capital campaigns, online giving drives, auction evenings, and alumni engagement events.
  • Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and current donors, sponsors, and partners. Develop and implement donor recognition programs.
  • Research, identify, and apply for grants and sponsorship opportunities that align with the school’s mission (Ex: “Lei de incentivo ao esporte”)..
  • Alumni Engagement: Work with alumni to foster lifelong connections to the school and to encourage giving.
  • Marketing & Communications: Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling fundraising content, including newsletters, social media posts, and donor appeals.
  • Reporting & Data Management: Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor contributions, and financial reports. Provide regular updates on fundraising progress to leadership.
  • Budget Management: Track and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution of events and initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • English fluency is essential for this position, as communication with international stakeholders will be a core part of the role.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience.
